The Pledge Music campaign is currently at 56%! I haven’t posted much up here on my blog about it recently – but I’m starting to get more excited as the end draws near. Only a couple weeks to go!
If you haven’t had a chance to pledge yet, please do – any amount makes a differecnce and at the minimum it’s basically just a pre-order of the CD.
Also, the cover design is almost done and it looks awesome. I can’t wait to get it out to ya.
Alright, thanks…MP
Last week I had the fortune of attending a screening of “After Fall, Winter” – the latest film by Eric Schaeffer that I composed the score for.
To say that I was overwhelmed would be an understatement. The film is a daring and honest story of love and loss. When I get the reels to compose to I usually get the final cut – but in this case a few scenes were re-edited after I wrote and recorded the score. Those few small changes made a big difference to me as a viewer and I was blown away.
To record the score I worked with a full orchestra in Prague via live feed (sourcenet) – it was an exciting and nerve-wracking experience to have the musicians so far away – but they played it beautifully.
I’m very proud of my work on this film and I hope you get a chance to see it. Be forewarned, the reviews on this film are mixed and the subject matter is a little risque’.
It’s on VOD and iTunes now:

In a few weeks it will be premiering on Showtime. I will post the dates here when I know what they are.
Helloooo!
I hope you’ve grabbed the latest free song of the the month and had a chance to check out my Pledge Music Page.
I’ve posted three updates so far and there are many more to come… it’s a cool site:
Pledge Music
And I say that not just because I have a campaign running up there right now… but also because it’s part of the exciting new paradigm of the music business.
I’m not saying I know which end it up – I just know that the more opportunities we take as writers and musicians to spread our music, the more we can continue to build something meaningful for ourselves. And make good music.
Thanks for your support.
Hey There! I’ve gotten a bunch of requests in the last month for a song of mine called “Want” that’s featured at the end of the film “After Fall, Winter“. So here it is for immediate download:
Want
Thanks for all the requests – I’m happy so many people have seen the film. I also wrote the score – which was recorded with a 20 piece orchestra. Pretty exciting. If you get a chance to see it please let me know what you think.
Okay, later…

I’m psyched to be working on two projects right now, one for a new Disney artist and the other for an indie singer-songwriter. The Disney artist, Adam Irigoyen, is cutting two songs I’m producing for him that I co-wrote. It’s a blast, he has tons of energy and great ideas. Both songs will be sung partially or fully in spanish, which is very exciting for me because I love the way the spanish language sounds when it’s sung (even if I don’t understand all the words). Getting a translation of your song done right ain’t no easy task either but we’re working with a consummate pro, Claudia Brant, and I’m loving the result.
You can find out more about Adam at his website here:

The other artist I’m working with at the moment is Danny Fingers and he’s a fave of Rufus Wainwrtight’s. We’re in the midst of feverishly recording tracks for his new record. On his last release I played most of the instruments – on this one he hired a drummer and then came to my studio to flesh out the rest. At the last session we recorded accordion, banjo, lots of percussion, guitars and bass.
It’s a whirlwind. We do two takes and then move on. Very interesting process. Fast.
